For this project we were tasked with designing product packaging for a mid range consumer project. I chose to design pancake packaging.

Position board, research and sketches.

For the position board I wanted go with a diner theme. This came about because I was thinking where you get the best pancakes, and for me that’s at a diner, so with that tried to capture the feeling of how it feels while your there. That’s where the name “Hoppin Hotcakes” from because it sounds like something you would get from a roadside diner. I also went with a warm color pallet because that goes with the idea of being in a diner.
