For this project we were tasked with creating packaging for a new type of Alcohol for Deschutes which was Low-Alcohol beer. We had to keep in mind the location, the people who would purchase these products, and well as trying to infuse the brand of Deschutes into our designs.

Position board and initial sketches.

My idea for the position board is to make my design very type heavy. I also wanted to draw in the feeling of Oregon which is “funky” and open to nearly everything. I also wanted to relate back to Bend specifically because they are well known for their fish, hence the name Scaled Back. I also wanted to go with a bit of a muted color pallet to reinforce the Low-Alcohol Nature of the drink.
